Sean E. Harris, Pastor of Berean Baptist Church in Fayetteville, NC, who recently called on parents to hit their children for demonstrating any semblance of what he interpreted as “effeminate” behavior, has issued an audio “retraction” for advocating that parents beat their children, but not for his bigotry.
I can’t tell what’s more stomach-churning: his initial comments, or his self-justifying, holier-than-thou attempt at righteous indignation and his claim that his words ‘were taken out of context’ by those involved in the political process of legalizing same-sex marriage.
If you want a lesson in how NOT to apologize, listen to the audio “retraction.” Bill Clinton apologizes better than this guy.

He has the same problem other religious people have: a belief that they get instructions from God. Some even have pretend-conversations with their version of “God” … weird, huh ?

I bet he’s closeted. I think most often when some man is really hateful and bigoted in his anti-gay fervor, it’s there to mask the fact that inside, he likes other men, and hates himself for that most of all.
bill clinton apologized the same way every other man who gets caught does. i didn’t do it, i didn’t do it. ok, i did, but it was a woman’s fault. or another woman’s. no, clinton didn’t apologize better than anyone, and we have him to thank for a whole generation of teenagers thinking that oral sex is just like a good night kiss.
Clinton ALONE is responsible for this ?
